Saudi Arabia TV 1 is an official television station of the Saudi Government. Saudi 1 was established by the late King Faisal. The first test television transmissions in the Kingdom took place in 1965. Saudi 1 uses the best equipped and most sophisticated television facilities in the region. The channel is state run and is administered by the Ministry of Culture and Information.
